If there's two things in this world I can't stand, it's the itch I get on the bottom of my foot at the worst possible time, and not owning a Smartcar. The first, is solely my problem. The second, however, you can help with. I am attempting to raise $10,000.00 over the next 16 months before the car I ordered will be shipped to me. I am saving what I can from each of my paychecks for this baby, so I figured what the heck, I'll see if anyone out there might be willing to assist me. The guys I work with have been donating change, while family & friends have been saving aluminum cans for me and my cause. I will be completely honest here. I  have a full time job, two sons, a wife and a mortgage. I know there are people in worse financial situations than myself and I realize nobody's going to give me a million bucks. My hope is that people will see this and be compelled, for whatever reason, to send me a buck or two, or even transfer their spare change from their bank accounts (c'mon, you know that oddball amount annoys you).

A buck won't make or break my intentions of getting this car, but let's face facts. A buck from a hundred, or five hundred, or even two thousand people would definitely put me closer to my goal (all the experts, and four out of five dentists surveyed, agree). 

I hope this doesn't make anyone feel like they "need" to help me, instead I hope it makes everyone feel like they "would like" to.

I will update weekly as we get closer to the goal and acknowledge those for their "smartcents". In the meantime, here are some words of  encouragement. Thanks to all in advance!!!
